Apple is planning to launch an ‘irresistible’ sky-blue iPhone 17 Pro in september 2025

Some Apple fans are still undecided about the new revised look that the company seems to be going for with the iPhone 17 line. However as more and more high quality renders come out some people are bound to change their minds as the phone actually looks pretty good in my opinion.

After years of reusing the same design Apple is now changing up how its next flagship phones will look like on the rear. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will still keep the iconic tri-camera setup but the cameras will be situated on a much larger island. This look, which seems inspired by the Google Pixel 9 and its predecessors, has received mixed reviews across online forums.

As per the leak, the upcoming color option for the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will look similar to the Sky Blue M4 MacBook Air, which launched last month. According to “sources close to the supply chain” Apple has already manufactured prototype units of the iPhone 17 Pro in the new color

Serial leaker Sonny Dickson is back today with a new image of some protective cases for Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, and the large camera hole is certainly the standout feature on show.

While this leak specifically refers to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, it's all but certain that the same arrangement will be on both that and the iPhone 17 Pro.

Could there be a delayed release?

❌ Probably not. We’ve seen Apple delay the release of certain iPhones in the past either because the company wants to focus on certain devices at first and the rest later, or because certain devices aren’t ready yet. The iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and more have all experienced delayed launches, so there’s a chance the iPhone 17 Pro could ship later than the iPhone 17 and 17 Air.

However, the iPhone 17 Pro won’t be shaking things up too much for Apple. This year, that job belongs to the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to come with the company’s thinnest smartphone design to date. The 17 Pro will get thicker, allowing Apple to fit more into the body. This shouldn’t result in any major production issues or other conflicts that would prevent the phone from shipping on time.

Of course, only time will tell whether Apple has any issues getting the 17 Pro out the door, but right now, it seems likely it’ll ship on time.

sources close to the supply chain confirm that several iPhone 17 Pro prototypes have been made in various colors, with Sky Blue currently the frontrunner. In prototypes, it reportedly looks even more stunning than the much-loved Sierra Blue of the iPhone 13 Pro, with a brightness and refinement that make it irresistible. Unless Apple changes course at the last minute, this will be the star of the September 2025 launch event.

Bu has reported several Apple leaks reliably, especially recently—though his track record isn’t perfect.

Sky Blue coming to the iPhone 17 Pro would be especially interesting in the same year it debuted on the M4 MacBook Air. I can’t recall Apple launching a special color on the Mac then the iPhone in the same year.
